Review of Club Dread (2004) by Derek A — 27 Feb 2009
The sophomore installment for the Broken Lizard gang who brought us the hilarious cult hit Super Troopers. The synopsis is a spoof of "who done it" type of mystery thrillers. Chalk full of naked women and drugs, the Broken Lizard gang clearly have a lot of fun making this film. However, the end result is not as enjoyable for the audience.
This film would've been a passable decent excuse for a popcorn comedy had it not been for the ridiculously ludicrous ending. Quite possibly the worst ending to a movie of all time... even for a comedy. It was really lame. You almost have to see it to believe it.
You can do better Broken Lizard.... or maybe you really are just a one hit wonder.
