It starts out with some character development which is rare in movies like this. I really like the special effects and action sequences. What I didn't like is it just leaves you guessing at the end.
There is some movies this works well with but with this one it just pissed me off. It leaves you thinking they will make a sequel but they don't since I just saw this.years after it came out. I would of liked to see the monster explode and guts everywhere but the movie just left me with no closure and irritated.
In conclusion, original move but generic "horror film" ending. My grade B-.
