Cloverfield is directed by Matt Reeves, written by Drew Goddard, and it stars Michael Stahl-David, Lizzy Caplan, T.J. Miller, and some others in a found-footage film about a party about one of their friends leaving for Japan, until there was a bit of an earthquake happening, but it wasn't an earthquake, it was a monster.

So they are trying of what they can to get out of Manhattan. I wanted to watch it again because of 10 Cloverfield Lane coming out this weekend, and Cloverfield is better than most found-footage films in general.

It's interesting to see a found-footage and a monster film at the same time as it has never been done before and at that time, there wasn't much monster films going on around that year. It has a good reason why it was filmed, and another good reason of how it was found.

The acting is great, and the effects look really realistic that it really felt like we were there, witnessing the monster. The movie keeps it interesting for me to root for the people to survive even though I already know what happened.

I think if I saw the film for the first time, the scares would honestly got me and be even more scared of the movie. One of the problems that I had with it, is that Hud, who holds the camera, can be a bit too annoying at times, but it doesn't bother me that much as he has some humanity in him and he gets some laughs from me.

Also, some of the characters aren't that developed well in that I wanted to know more about the characters, but as is, Cloverfield is a very fun creature feature that I'm looking forward to 10 Cloverfield Lane after sort of waiting for it for years.
