Review of Cloverfield (2008) by Adam B — 20 May 2016

I absolutely hated this movie after seeing it in the cinema. Turns out it really shines on a small screen with motion smoothing. The cameraman could still use a steadycam ... and a personality overhaul .

.. but the movie is an entertaining take on monster movies. A lot of the old tropes are there, but they're so much more enjoyable when one isn't suffering from intense motion sickness.
