Review of Cloverfield (2008) by Dutch E — 23 Dec 2012
"Cloverfield" will certainly go down in history as a brilliant visual masterpiece. Although the storyline is not really one of a kind, the whole perspective of the film was excellent. "Cloverfield" really puts you right in the action with the hand-held camera filming method and gives the equivalency of a roller-coaster ride, pure thrills.
"Cloverfield" gives you exactly what you would expect from a real monster attack, or even any disaster, and that is total pandemonium; and when it comes to portraying total pandemonium, "Cloverfield" does it more or less perfectly.
It's suspenseful and scary, and it leaves certain questions unanswered.
