Review of Cloud Atlas (2012) by David Benjamin M — 15 Feb 2014
Not satisfying for all the effort and hard work in this movie and not paying attention to story telling and story, I haven't read the book but you can see it has a good concept, which I won't say it here.
it's a big movie in term of production. Huge amount of production design for six stories in six time period. However editing it can be impossible with out pre-editing the script cause all these six stories are connected to each other.
One moment that makes me say I am watching a movie not a reality and took me away from the story was performance of Tom Hanks when he talked with british accent and ruined the scene and his acting at the same time.
I am sure it was a big challenge for filmmakers and specially editors but at the end what is important is the final product, and story telling.
