Review of Closer (2004) by Darryl C — 10 Aug 2011
For a film so raw and intense in depicting love and hate, sex and intimacy, there is virtually no onscreen sexual interaction, unless you count kissing and a private dance in a strip club. There is no sappy romance to be found here - it's all about the pain, the loss, the betrayals, and the addiction.
Definitely not a date movie. Generally competent to excellent performances all round, but ultimately leaves one unsatisfied, unlike Anna on the chat room.
