Review of Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) by Filippo S — 13 Sep 2012
At the time of its release, it was essentially a perfect movie. It's only dated now because effects technology is so much better and people are so much less gullible now and so much more cynical. Richard Dreyfus and Melinda Dillon were wonderful.
I think it deserves a remake, with a more modern sensibility and adapted to concerns of today.
