A wonderful charmed piece of cinematic history. Spielbergs Close Encounters blends the drama of a family afflicted by a traumatized marriage and combine it with a fully effects budgeted mysterious sci fi global phenomena.
The biggest innovation here remain its informed depictions of the alien encounters. Fascinating stuff that led the groundwork to some of my favourite movies and tv shows especially x-files.
