My mistake was waiting 35 years to watch this movie.
I am sure...that if I wasn't two at the time that this movie came out, it would have BLOWN me away. However, watching it now...besides that fact that so many other science fiction spoofs make sense to me now...it was boring. Not only was it boring...but it was annoying. It was difficult to watch. I must say, that this was not the case for me with other Spielberg movies that I waited 35 years to see like Indiana Jones and Jaws. Frankly, the aliens can HAVE Richard Dreyfuss AND the little kid of they want him. It just was not my particular cup of tea.
