Review of Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) by Daniel K — 27 Oct 2010
The most memorable part of Close Encounters is the musical theme that has become iconic and recognizable by most all movie fans, but the movie is fairly slow and I found it to be somewhat overrated. Granted it was a good movie, and the acting provided by Dreyfuss is very good, but it suffers from a lagging story and does not become to interesting until the final 20 minutes of the movie, and even then it is somewhat anticlimactic.
Sci-fi fans may find it spectacular, but overall it was disappointing to me.
