Review of Clockers (1995) by Raji K — 30 Jul 2011
Clockers is a decent movie that takes on the difficulites of living life in the projects, and all the aspects that go with it from poverty, violence and drugs. The movie is by no means an original. The biggest issue with this movie is with Mekhi Phifer, although he tries his best the complexity of his character isn't performed to the best possibility which draws out the movie.
The supporting cast is fine, but the complexity of Phifer being confused, victimized, hardcore, yet passionate and caring is just too much for him and you don't even know what you want to happen to him in the end.
