Review of Cliffhanger (1993) by Lucas Y — 19 Jan 2009
Renny Harlin's career is anything but consistent, but Cliffhanger is surprisingly awesome. The opening scene is fantastic. The "Rocky" (no pun intended) Mountains are shot beautifully. The action is terrific.
The acting is pretty good for the film all around. John Lithgow is hilarious and Stallone is in top form. I never liked the cover though, kinda looks like he's doing a gay little dance number while stretching his hamburger meat looking biceps.
