Review of Click (2006) by Dann M — 12 Jun 2012
Michael Newman is given a remote control that is able to manipulate his universe. What starts out as an amazing device soon becomes something else. This is an interesting film considering Sandler's more known works... Enjoyable, but with deep meaning in the end.
After watching for a second time, my original rating stands. This is a wonderful piece and probably Adam Sandler's finest moment in film. The jokes are still there, the laughs still come out, but this is a great film about not taking anything for granted and appreciating every moment that comes at you, placing family first and all that sappy stuff. There are some emotional scenes in this film - it's so very different from Sandler's other work, but that's not necessarily a bad thing in my view.
