A funny sci-fi comedy and a decent sci-fi drama are haphazardly smashed together in a film whose mood can shift on a moment's notice. Not helping is the PG-13 rating, which restricts the writers from reaching the film's full potential.
It's worth a watch, but it will leave you with an odd feeling.
