Review of Clerks III (2022) by Compi24 — 07 Nov 2022
With "Clerks III," writer-director-co-star Kevin Smith returns to the fan-favorite franchise for a send-off that's as satisfying as it is heartfelt. Filled with loads of callbacks and cameos from countless "View Askew" pictures of yore, this is definitely about as fan-servicey as a movie can be, but - again - I found that there was a ton of honest-to-God enjoyment to be had.
Solid comedic stylings aside, this movie also poses some potential heavy lifts to its cast-members, most of whom rise to the occasion to a surprising degree. This isn't necessarily going to sweep any awards shows, but as far as threequels go, I'd say it delivered about as much as it needed to.
