Review of Clerks II (2006) by Brandonm. — 18 Jul 2006
I caught an advanced screening of this yesterday. Was this as funny as the first film? No, and I don't think anyone in their right mind would expect that. But was it funny? YES! Randal easily steals the show with his bits.
Jay and Silent Bob are funny as always, especially with the "Silenece of Lamb" bits. Dante's relationship woes once again takes the plot-forefront here, and to the movies discredit. It really puts the brakes on an otherwise funny movie.
This is not high art, but it is a funny movie. You don't get many of those out of Hollywood these days.
