Review of Clerks II (2006) by Don S — 04 Jul 2010
As I didn't care for the original, I didn't hold out much hope for this one. I was pleasantly surprised. This one actually had a linear story, instead of vignettes, and I could relate to the older version of the characters I found nothing in common with in the first film.
Maybe Smith has grown as a filmmaker, or maybe I've come to "get" what he is after. Either way, a totally enjoyable look into the lives of a couple of early thirties slackers. The going away party had me in tears from laughing so hard.
Hysterical.
