Review of Clerks II (2006) by Tiana R — 29 Dec 2012
It's possibly funnier (not in a clever way though) than the original, and still shows that Kevin Smith has lots of interested and value to say about friendship, relationships, conformity, 9 to 5ers, and all the other usual stuff.
All the same, it's (obviously) not the earth shattering movie that was the original, and I hated the ending. Smith's way of closing the movie seems like the right thing to do on paper, but just the way it's all shot (everything after the jail scene) and put together is disgustingly cheesy and has a laughable sentimentality that makes the rest of the movie feel a whole lot less edgy.
