Review of Clerks (1994) by Richard J M — 08 Sep 2013
A bleak comedy that launched the careers of many stars, most notably the director Kevin Smith, who notoriously worked with a tiny budget to create this well-loved cult classic. Obscene at times, and littered with pop-culture references, you can't help but fall in love with even the most foul character due to their humourous stories and actions.
While the film certainly looks no more expensive than it was, with some scenes suffering, it's an easily overlooked fact when you're drawn into a brilliant script.
