Review of Clear and Present Danger (1994) by Michael T — 29 May 2010
There seems to have been a bit of a shift in recent years, towards the quirky, shaky camera, slick shot to slick shot kind of arty action film and away from the kick ass old fashion just plain good action movie with a solid plot.
This is a a great example of the latter with Harrison Ford in classic form as the slightly imperfect hero striving for justice. The split dynamic of political intrigue and columbian cartel baddies is a tried and tested formula that clearly works and you really can't help but like this film and wish that someone would go back and revisit some of these types of film cos I for one would like to see some more films released with this kind of feel.
