Review of Cleaner (2007) by Joseph B — 20 Jun 2008
Saw this on the plane to HRW which is the way to see it - pretty ordinary thriller, reasonable plot, but predictable. Slightly ho-hum performances, though Samuel L Jackson and Keke Palmer, who plays his daughter, are excellent - their relationship is the most engaging part of the whole movie.
They could easily have carried a movie about their recovery from the murder of Samuel L's wife and the way he got his revenge, which is partially revealed through the movie and seemed lilke a much more interesting story than the plot around which the Cleaner revolves.
Not the greatest, but an enjoyable movie nonetheless.
