Review of Cleaner (2007) by Sébastien B — 19 Sep 2008
I was hoping for Sam Jackson's return to greatness. The shots where he is cleaning while he voiceovers about the nature of cleaning up decaying bodies and other internal mysteries is a promising start.
But that's it, rest of the film is quite ordinary and sometimes really boring. The closeups of meaningless objects is very eighties and very annoying, as it is repeated a LOT. Renny Harlin has, in my opinion, directed two good films.
One being The Long kiss goodnight, the other Ford Fairlane. This one is easily forgotten, which is sad, being that two of my favorites, Jackson and Harris is in it. Wanna watch a good cleaning? Harvey Keitel in Pulp Fiction, NOW that's entertainment :).
