Review of Clean, Shaven (1995) by Eric C — 06 Jun 2007
Equal parts abnormal psychological case study on schizophrenia as well as representation of the paternal relationship and its troubles. Peter Greene was sensational in this film and the cinematography expressed just how bad schizophrenia can be.
For a film made a decade ago this looks amazingly sharp while keeping a layer of grit, especially on the criterion transfer.
