Review of Clean and Sober (1988) by Peter C — 31 Jul 2009
A very good rehabilitation movie because of the writing and the performances. The movie is never overdramatic and always played with a serious tone. I enjoyed it a lot because of its main character. Who at first denies even being addicted but uses the center as a way to stay away from his outside world.
It did not show a stereotypical druggie but a functioning one who was able at the end to find some closure. He was not able to save his job or the girl he was attracted to but he learned a lot. Overall it is a great movie with great acting.
