Review of Clean and Sober (1988) by Doug B — 18 Jan 2013
I disagree with the criticisms of this movie. This was during a period when Keaton was on top of his game and he is great in this. Two hours is a very limited time to try and convey what it can be like for addicts yet this movie manages to hit on many of the common themes.
The denial, the self-centeredness, relapse, co-dependent relationships etc...I'd like to see Keaton return to the A list of Hollywood actors. This movie and many others of his proves he has what it takes.
