Review of Clean and Sober (1988) by Kevin S — 22 Feb 2013
Michael keaton plays as a real estate agent who has a drug and alcohol problem and just work up sleeping with a girl who had a heart attack and died. He also owes some money which he pretty much just threw away so now he decides to hide in a rehab center where he does not get along with the doctor at first and they butt heads quite a bit.
The doctor knows what he is going through because he had the same problem. And keatons charcater struggles because they way he looks at it he doesn't think he has a problem. He also falls in love with one of the residents who has the same problem he does.
This movie is sad at times and there are times were it is quite funny thanks to Michael Keaton. I think this is one of my favorite roles and movie of Keaton's. he does such a brilliant job here. Morgan freeman was great too as the doctor.
He gave a great performance too. This has to be one of the better movies about dealing with an addiction.
