Wow this movie was terrible. The originals was way more fun to watch. The CG of the original and the remake have a lot in common.

This remake was badly cut. Most scenes were rushed through, the dialogue choppy and trying too hard for comic relief. A faux adventure so it could lead to the final encounter with the Kraken which was anti climactic. Overall this movie was a disappointment. But on the other hand, it did take itself lightly. For those who did see the original, it brought back a classic character from stop motion history which they did poke fun of. Classic B movie.
