Review of Clash of the Titans (2010) by Nancy O — 04 Aug 2012
The CGI is randomly terrible, the dialogue -and- its delivery is awful and the sheer arrogance of the 'artistic license' displayed by its writers (Black Pegasus? WHY?) softens what could have been an excellent modern day depiction of the mythological war between a Demi-God and the Hades underworld.
Its a farce from start to end, only forgivable for the brilliantly chilling Ralph Feinnes, who you are supposed to loathe as the villain! An unlikeable lead performance comes as a one-trick show from a one-trick pony.
You cannot mask a bad movie with great visuals, and as I said from the start even those were average at best for the current age. Poor tosh, below average pulp better served as a B movie for television.
