Everything that went right with the original goes absolutely wrong here. Perseus is a whiny character and the CG effects look pretty unconvincing. So many plot points and characters go unexplained. Bubo the Owl, though kind of annoying and distracting in the original, gets unceremoniously shoved into a trunk and is never seen again because Sam Worthington hated the thing and refused to work if the owl was in the film.
This film also cements the fact that Sam Worthington is only capable of playing one character in every film. Stick with the original.
