Clash of the Titans is basically a classic and for a very good reason. The film used the latest in stop motion animation done by the legendary effects maker Ray Harryhausen himself. Not only that, but this film marked as the last film Ray Harryhausen would work on and made sure he finished it off with a bang.

The film's story is centered on the mythology of Perseus and how he is challenged by the greek god Zeus to complete tasks. The tasks go from slaying medusa to fighting the fearsome Kraken creature as well as saving the captured princess.

The story was decent but what made the film had to be the creature effects and the pacing of the film itself. The effects do not hold up, but the film is sucha classic that it does not bother me that it doesn't hold up.

The casting was also decently done as it goes from Laurence Olivier as Zeus to Harry Hamlin as Perseus. Not much of a great cast but the performances of both was well done to make this film become a classic.

Many movie goers might be turned off by the film's dated effects and presentation, but classic movie goers like myself appreciate to how well this film is handled. If you want a classic viewing experience then do not hesitate to go and see Clash of the Titans.
