The remake provided the perfect opportunity to revisit this original, and the differences are so enormous as to consider them almost as completely seperate entities. Obviously, the effects are hugely dated.
.. But that's about all that has. As a piece of storytelling, it absolutely trounces the remake, and the Medusa scene is as genuinely suspenseful and scary as it ever was. I love seeing Greek myths on screen and can't understand why we don't more often.
