Review of CJ7 (2008) by Fiko A — 24 Sep 2010
Im fan of anime and manga, and I need to admit this film was AWESOME! It made me cry as hell. This cast was magnificent. If you did not watch it, is because you miss it or because you don't love films out of your country (cause I do love them!).
Plot: Ti is a poor father who works very hard everyday to make his son Dicky Chow a men of good and honor. He studies on a private school, since his father did not got that oportunity when he was a child. One night, his father finds this mysterious green ball that will not only change Dicky's destiny, it will also teach him a lesson of love and friendship. Amazing film with an awesome story-telling and yes, with a mix of amazing animes as Pokemon, SGT FROG, Digimon, (the amazing ET, which is not anime), and yes, my fave anime of all time: SPIRITED AWAY.
Acting: I knew I have seen before Stephen Chow! He did so amazing as the father. Xu as Dicky was impresive to and hilarious LOL The rest of the cast did great too and funny (impresive story-telling once more and acting skills here). I do love acting and this is an amazing inspiration for those who love to watch comedy/action/drama!
Music: Dramatic, colorful, very enjoyable and beautiful. It was the most inspiring music I have ever heard. I need to admit it made me get some flashbacks on anime's musics as Evangelion, Paprika, Appleseed and the masterpiece, Princess Mononoke. I need to admit, I still don't get why people don't have time for this amazing films with a message that touches your soul and makes you think about family, friends and most important: LIFE!
To end this review (THE CGI obviously was cute and adorable, even if it's not that pro, because in this case, pro is not the word, is HERMOSO!), 4 stars of 5. The film was never slow, it got amazing rythm, impresive sequences of action and yes, amazing child actors. Enjoy my review and ACTING BRING SMILES! HASTA LA PROXIMA!
