Review of City of the Living Dead (1980) by Pavandeep S — 20 Aug 2007
Not bad, there were some scenes I wondered how they carried it out, like the blood in the eyes, and the editing just makes you lose your mind. But there was something that bothered me, it tried to be a cheap thrill and a serious horror show at times, especially around the Bob character.
He was hounded like the witches were in the past, prejudiced and so on, but he bolts when a woman comes to see him. Then his head is cut off by a father whose daughter was with him and apparently was in some relationship.
They then show him back and he eats them. I don't know, it sort of looked like some message on prejudice and past crimes, and coul've been a good one, but it looked a bit messy, but overall, it was still an excellent movie, for pure gore.
