Review of City of Men (2007) by Ninette B — 14 Feb 2008
The follow up to City of God (different director, same general premise), one of my favorite movies. The cinematography is less Tarantino like this time but the story continues to be strong and shocking.
The contrasts between the slums of favelas and the beauty of Rio de Janeiro are jaw dropping. It's my top movie so far this year. I'll be watching the TV series next.
