Review of City of Men (2007) by Jean B — 07 Mar 2008
Doesn't have the urgent energy of its predecessor (haven't seen the series), but has an infectious life of its own. It owes alot of this life to the two incredibly watchable leads and the rest of the cast.
It's a great look at how lives are affected by the senseless violence, shown best in the image of a grandmother standing in her slippers watching her house get burned to the ground.
