Review of City of Life and Death (2009) by Aidan M — 25 Feb 2012
Technically proficient, and some scenes contain enormous horror. It loses some of its power because of completely unnecessary inter-titles and some lovely music used in maudlin ways, and because the character fates, however real, seem straight out of the war-story playbook.
