Very disturbing movie about the rape of Nanking, from a Chinese perspective, with one troubled Japanese officer. Especially strong in comparison to some of the movies that focus almost exclusively on the international folks, eg.
Johann Rabe. I don't want to diminish what he did, but this movie makes it clear how truly small his contribution was on the sheer scale of horror.
