City Of God is absolutely magnificent in every way. While I have seen other crime flicks like The Godfather and Scarface (1983), I think City Of God is the superior film in such a genre. It's an absorbing tale centered around several characters who try to survive in such a hellhole of a city through crimes like stealing, murder, and the selling of drugs.
I was absolutely captivated by this stunning Brazilian film and I recommend that anyone who loves a good crime flick, or just an absorbing saga, for that matter see City Of God immediately because it will blow you away.
