Review of City of God (2002) by Robert F — 30 Sep 2011
City of God is not the easiest film to watch, it shows a look at life of two brothers in the slums of Rio de Janiero who take two separate paths, one becomes a photographer and the other becomes a drug dealer.
City of God is violent, however does not celebrate violence but depicts how shocking it is in these slums. This is definitely a fantastic foreign film shown in its original Portuguese language.
