Review of City of God (2002) by Catfish A — 13 Aug 2012
Dark, compelling, gritty, haunting, yet staggeringly entertaining and eye opening, City of God is without a doubt the best movie of the decade and has had probably the worst snub of best picture since 2001 lost in 1968.
City of God has an amazing narration, absolutely fantastic action, great acting (most of the actors were amateurs too), a fantastic script, cinematography, etc. you name it, and City of God has perfected it.
This is cinema at its highest point.
