Review of City of God (2002) by Mark A — 01 Mar 2014
Dizzying in its complexity, City of God is an energetically paced and richly written crime saga, punctuated by fleshed-out, interesting characters and disturbing but powerful insights into the lives of young hoodlums and slumdogs, Like the best dramas, it has a keen sense of storytelling, as well as razor-sharp, intricate direction.
With all that being said, I can easily call this one of my favorite films of all time.
