Mesmerizing and brilliant, City Of God is one of the best films I've seen in some time and it's a film that will stick with me forever. The cinematography and overall direction of the film is gorgeous, weaving back and forth to different vantage points and even time lapses.

Nearly the entire cast is filled with non-actors, but you'd never know this, especially from the actor who played Lil Ze. Not for the faint-hearted as it's loaded with gang-land violence and pulls no punches, but it's well-worth seeing and really is a superb accomplishment.
