This was really good, much better than what I expected it to be. Saoirse Ronan & Harry Treadaway were perfectly cast as Lina & Doon and are now two of my favorite up and coming actors. Bill Murray was really mean as the mayor and Michael Landau was so funny as Sul. I never expected this to be as good as it was, but I was pleasantly surprised. I watched this film not expecting it to be good at all, but it was alot better. It's a great film anyone all of all ages can enjoy, I believe anyway. I love this film.

"Lina and Doon tied their hope to a rock and tossed it down toward the city. The rock could've ended up on a roof. Or kicked into a gutter. But fate ran another course. And the message found its way. Now the path was clear for all. All of us who kept the flame of Ember burning, through the darkness, so that we could live again on the earth, in the air and the light.".

My Actor/Actress review:

Saoirse Ronan - I first became a fan of hers after watching this. She's a great actress, I really liked her portrayal of Lina.

Harry Treadaway - I loved him as Doon. His friendship with Lina was sweet.

Tim Robbins - I really liked his portrayal of Loris.

Bill Murray - he was mean as the Mayor, I didn't like his character at all.

Mackenzie Crook - he was rather creepy looking in this!!!

Martin Landau - I loved him as Sul! He was always sleep! I loved it whenever he said "It's my job!" as that was always so funny!!!

Liz Smith - she was funny as Lina's Granny, with all of her balls of string!!!
