Review of City of Ember (2008) by Anthony D — 10 Apr 2015

I'm surprised and disappointed by the low scores people give this optimistic and lovely children/teenagers film. When all the world feels like it is heading into darkness, and no-one seems to know what to do about it, or even that there is anything seriously wrong - have hope and resolve to make a difference, to search for solutions, to find a way out.

This is the kind of stuff kids (and adults) need, and if they haven't been totally jaded by the usual Hollywood junk, they'll love it.
