(1931) City Lights.
SILENT ROMANTIC COMEDY.
Master of silent comedy Charlie Chaplin's best movie who also wrote, produced and directed centers on him falling for and feeling obligated to help flower girl (Virginia Cherrill), but of course have to go through many unpredictable obstacles. The subtleness of the overall experience makes the comedic aspects much more credible that have to seen to be believed. Some of the highlights include him entering a boxing match and being friends with a wealthy socialite.
4 out of 4 stars.
