Review of City Lights (1931) by Daniel S — 24 Nov 2010
Definitely loved the scenes with the blind girl, they were very heartfelt and effective, especially that final scene. I just wish more was spent developing their romance, which I felt was better developed in modern times, Everyone talks about the boxing scene, but I thought the locker room scene was even better.
Still a very solid film, you cant not get a kick out of just watching chaplin, regardless of the situation. Just wish more time was spent with the girl, maybe a lil less with the millionaire.
