Review of City Island (2009) by Rodney S — 13 Dec 2010
An extremely entertaining comedic drama about a dysfunctional family and the skeletons in their closets. Andy Garcia is particularly impressive in a rare comic performance whilst Emily Mortimer shines as always.
The script has some golden moments but also misses a few opportunities to flesh out some of the cast of many characters, but this is not to the detriment of the film, and one would be hard pressed to not find some gold here.
