Review of City Hall (1996) by La L — 24 Jul 2007
This film had so much potential and I expected so much. A great cast - Pacino, Cusack, Fonda and Aiello - and it's an original screenplay from Nicolas Pileggi (GoodFellas) and Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver).
It has the ingridents to be outstanding but it comes out quite bland. Pacino and Cusack are big time favorites of mine and even they couldn't save this, for the most part, boring thriller. Major let down, not worth more than one or two viewings.
