Chris Gerolmo Directs the Hbo special. Backed by Producer Timothy Marks who travelled on location to get eye witness accounts. Citizen X is Bone chilling but also based on Russian's Darker past, after people begin dropping like flies.
The Soviet Government begin to raise eyebrows of speculations they may have there first ever (Known) serial Killer in The USSR. Forensic Pathologist Dr. Burakov (Played by Stephen Rea) was assigned to the case unwillingly with the promise of a better housing situation in exchange for his efforts to solving the ever growing case.
Canadian Donald Sutherland won an Emmy and Golden Globe for best supporting actor.
